Dr. Renee Sherman Strauss, Ph.D., educational consultant and school psychologist, will help you make an informed choice about the school which best meets your needs.  Dr. Strauss offers a holistic and integrated approach to help answer what she calls the key questions of college admissions counseling:

1. Who are you?
2. Which colleges are a good fit for you?
3. What should you do in high school?
4. How do you approach the college admissions process?

1. Who are you?
Some students already have well developed passions whether they Studentsbe intellectual, cultural, athletic or otherwise. Others have only a hint of where their deeper aspirations may lie. Wherever you are in defining your own interests, Dr. Strauss will work with you to help you figure out which types of colleges will provide opportunities for you to best develop your own unique personality and talents.

2. Which colleges are a good fit for you?
There is no one school for everyone. Once you have identified who you are, Dr. Strauss will help you look beyond the rankings to identify, not just the top schools, but the top schools for you.

3. What should you do in high school?
Students are faced with a myriad of choices in high school. Which courses should theyStudent & Counselor take? Should they focus on their areas of particular strength and interests or strive to be “well rounded?” How much time should they spend pursuing extra-curricular activities? There is no one-size-fits-all answer to these questions, but Dr. Strauss will help you find that balance that is appropriate to your own interests and college admission goals.

4. How do you approach the college admissions process?
Dr. Strauss will help you navigate the college admissions landscape and assist you in putting together your best profile.
